This past weekend, I was sitting in the house with my good girlfriends, drinking wine, listing to the radio as we usually do when we can’t find anywhere to go. We began talking about all the hot topics in music. Of course we talked about Beyonce, Rhianna, Tamar, J Hud, Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole, the state of R&B music, and then K. Michelle. I was surprised when my good girlfriend, out of no where, got real crunk and started riding hard for K. Then she commenced to pull up YouTube videos of K. Michelle singing. There was this one particular video that grabbed my attention and touched me on the inside part and called my name. Catch these T’s, K. Michelle singing with just a piano. Mama was giving me all kind of R&B 90′s T’s
The moment I watched this video, all the bad press that K. Michelle has gotten in the past went out the window. While watching this, all i saw was the music. For a singer, a real singer, all it should ever be about is the music. I get it, sometimes we have to come to the table with a gimmic when our voice isn’t being heard. In this instance, K. Michelle’s gimmick was Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Now that the LHHATL platform has elevated her to a place where we can now hear her voice, it is now time once again for things to be all about the music.

K. Michelle can saaaang, and that’s what matters. She has imperfections and that’s ok because only God can judge her! She’s a work in progress, I am too…I dare say a lot of these singers are. I agree with The Doll, it’s time to leave reality tv, let the trash float on up the river that is Mona Scott-Young and focus on her music and healing. It doesn’t seem to bother folks that these singers they Stan for have skeletons in their closets (just because you wedge that door shut doesn’t mean a bone ain’t hanging out a crack hello?! Please believe that plenty of our most talented artists have backgrounds that have been bleached, scrubbed and rewritten. They teach them how to speak, walk, and carry the well crafted mask (and when to put it on). She just hasn’t been molded, polished and perfected yet.
If you are a small but shapely woman your donk is appropriate to each size change. I was very skinny with an ample bottom and boobs as a teen, but my butt and boobs fit my frame. When i hit my twenties my butt and boobs went up a few sizes. I say all of that to say that when i was 114 lbs my butt was smaller than it is now at 135, and as you can see she was smaller then than she is now. IJS

YAAAAAS! Me and my fiance LOOOVE K! He took my Ipod out the car just so he could listen to Kmichelle while he works at night! I seen this a couple years ago and was HOOKED! I first heard Kmichelle like 3 years ago at my girls house and I kept asking her who sang the song “Fallin” and she didn’t know. So I searched and searched and found nothing til I happened upon this video! I was psyched to see her on LHHATL so now everyone could hear this bish pipe! I miss artists with this raw talent! Beyonce is just too commercial for me. Don’t cut my head off, cuz B is def an icon but not my cup of tea!I am so happy for K’s success though! I was just telling hubby yesterday we going to NY to see this bish cuz she is worth the trip! He agreed!!! Keep SLAYING K!

This is one of my favorite songs by her. I remeber listening to this everyday last year. I wish this live version was on iTunes because it would be a definite buy for me. Too bad this is too real for the radio lol.

There’s just something about her music that I’m not feeling.. I’ve never listened to any of her songs twice. It’s like you play it, and yeah, ok.. Next. And I LOVE R&B, Idk what it is about her songs, they’re just dark and…. I think she def need some counseling, because even through her music, she comes off just so angry.
And this is why I fucks with the doll. You can call her out on her BS…but you can still give her props for having talent. I think a lot of bloggers take this mess too personal. The girl can blow and she should just cut her ties to reality tv and social networking sites and focus on her music.

I’m personally going to be doing the opposite. For the last couple of decade society keeps making artist rich who are putting out the wrong message. The message is you can act a damn fool as long as your talented. History has shown that when you dont like a corporation or a communities actions, you take your money else where and they change. I am going to be doing that with my money from now on. If I dont like the way you carry yourself then your not getting my money.
On another note: She finally made enough money to finish getting her comic strip tattoo done. Yes Gawd. It looked like graffiti in last year’s promo for LHH-ATL
I love K Michelle!!! lol especially when I’m in my feelings, sort of like the way I like Mary J Blige when she first came out, you can feel her raw emotions in her music.

Singing aint the problem! The woman can blow. Problem is everything else: her mouth, her attitude, her self esteem, her anger, her mentality and her karma. She might as well go searching for Jesus and audition for Tyler Perry because unfortunately, the damage is done. Her music career is over before it restarted. I almost became a fan…that is until I watched her on reality TV. When all we had was Youtube, I was so optimistic…but now..

Funky Dineva years ago my ex from Memphis put me on K and I saw this video then. This song as well as the acoustic version (just her and a guy playing a guitar while she was drinking Jack Daniels)of Grown Ass Man had me hooked. This chile her can sing her ass off….no autotune, no studio magic, just plain ole siniging. Her ass may be slightly touched but this heffa here can sing most artists nowadays under the damn table!!

@Janeen we all have our Vices. I myself can relate to K michelle I know what it feels like to have more than one person against you, or to be called a liar concerning a man, but since SHE IS A PASSIONATE PERSON she get looks at as the aggressor. I am thankful for her rawness because instead of perfection like beyonce, we know she got skeletons but they are well hidden. She is like a young Mary J Blige she is full of pain and she working through it. It is also the price she is paying for being real. AINT NOTHING FAKE ABOUT HER. seem like being real get you taxed.

I actually played that video all day once..reality tv has its place but all I care about in the music..not who the stars are sleeping with and how many people they fight..bey wasn’t wrong to keep her and jays business to herself
