NEW MUSIC: Kandi Burruss ft. Marvin Sapp ‘STAY PRAYED UP’
Praise the Lord Evangelist Burruss. Yes Gawd Hunty! Kandi has gone gospel. Well not quite. Let me put the rumors to rest. Kandi as of now is not planning to record a gospel album. That is unless there are some major dollar signs associated with the undertaking. Y’all know Kandi is about her coins. Instead of the song being called “Stay Prayed Up”, it should be called “Stay Payed Up”. LOL. Non the less, you guys heard bits and pieces of it on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but the full song is here and the response has been pretty great. I found out earlier today, the song hit number 2 on the ITunes inspirational music charts. Check out the track and tell me how you like it.

I like the song’s message but wasn’t feeling Kandi’s vocals on this. I think Marvin could have sang alone. Kandi ruined his verse & I just wanted to hear his voice. But to those who are judging her, shame on you!!! You don’t know what God has planned for her. Go look in the mirror cause you surely aren’t perfect.
I’m torn. Love the message. Love Marvin Sapp. Don’t MIND Kandi’s vocals but don’t love them. Would have rathered if it was Marvin Sapp alone or some other singer. Someone said Le’Andria and that would have been PERFECT!

Kandi sounded a lil horse ..I think she struggled to hit them high notes but I LOVE KANDI!! Great song could’ve been vocally better tho.

Kandi is not a solo artist, she is a group performer. There are alot of singers that are great group performers like Kelly and Michelle to name a few off the top of my head. When the group breaks ups they really struggle. Kandi has managed well for herself because she has her hands in a variety of ventures and she writes great music. I think that she should concentrate on producing a group or rejoining a group if she wants to be involved with something other than writing music. Her singing voice really bothers my spirit and this song is no different.

I hate to be a hater, but why in the world would she sing over Marvin and echo his words. He was and is the only saving grace to the song. She made it worse than it had to be. And I’m sorry she really can’t sing.

Just because you are married and live with your spouse does not make you any better or worse than Kandi because she lives with her partner and they’re not married.
