Posted in Remember This

25 years ago, On September 24th, comedian and icon Bill Cosby introduced America to a spinoff adapted from his very own — and hugely successful and influential – The Cosby Show, titled A Different World. Starring Lisa Bonet, Jada Pinkett, Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison and Darryl M. Bell among others, the comedy sitcom followed the lives of African-American students as they experienced the trials and tribulations of college life at a Historically Black university. Over the course of six seasons, the show became a TV fan favorite, resulting in superstardom for the show’s cast members. ~ Huffington Post

‘Where are they now?’

Now chile I use to love me som A Different World. However, I liked it somewhere in the middle of its run. I hated it when Denise (Lisa Bonet) was on there and I didn’t really like it during the time Jada Pinket was on on there. Non the less, for many days at a time, for thirty minutes, I got my life watching a different world.

He still wearing tired ass shades

We see you Mary Alice

Hey Ms, Gaines. They knew damn well Mr. Gaines was gay on this damn show. He kept hollering about his wife named Velma, but i ain’t dumb. I know that Velma was code for Victor! Trying to goop da children. That’s the real gag!!!

You think his pubic hair is red too. ewww. Hey Gary!

I bet you Freddy stays high!

Y’all know this Aretha Franklin old husband.

My grandma refers to Sinbad as “that light skinned man with that high booty”. lol

  1. You know Whitely used to play some witch on The Vampire Diaries. And Freddie does a lot of voice-over work for cartoons.

  2. Even though the show was started for Lisa Bonnet (Denise) I didn’t care much for her character. But I didn’t care much for her character on the The Cosby Show either. OAN I still watch A Different World re-runs, still one of my fav sitcoms of all times!!
