Soooooo, I know it is not right to marginalize people for their shortcomings, but really, y’all are mad over something Fantasia Barrino said?. Chile Cheese. Fantasia could call my momma twenty bishes to my face and I still wouldn’t hear her. Sometimes we must really consider the source before we get all bent out of shape. Fantasia’s projectic, hair layed like Mississippi Mass Choir circa 1989 a++ could NEVER say anything to offend me. She can’t read, her body is rude, she keeps going broke, and can’t keep a man. This is the woman thats got y’all bent all out of shape? I don’t know who is dumber, her or those of you that allowed her to ruffle y’alls feathers.

After Fantasia’s people realized that she was on Instagram again without adult supervision they issue the following statement:
“Comments made by Ms. Barrino through her Instagram account were recently taken far out of context, and the purpose of this release is to set the record straight,” read the statement. “Ms. Barrino is not now, nor has she ever been an opponent of the LGBT community. She has supported and performed at numerous events that are sponsored by the LGBT community. Whether it’s through a live performance or placement on social media, Ms. Barrino uses every opportunity to reach out and connect with her fans, all of her fans.”
I don’t know why people even waste their time issuing statements. Does your PR people think the public is just that damn dumb? I guess.

I think that her comments were taken out of context. I read that she is tired of being judged for her past (married man) at a time when marijuana is legal and so is gay marriage. I think she is saying that people use the bible to judge her all the time and she’s tired of it. She is an easy target because she doesn’t possess the typical attritibutes and features that Hollywood has brainwashed Americans into believing make black women beautiful…I’m concerned that we will soon not even have the right to say the word gay without backlash. It’s almost like using the N word these days.
Its apparent you’re offended, otherwise you wouldn’t have waisted your time or energy to shed light on her comment. Yet she’s not saying anything wrong, and is expressing her feelings through her Christian point of view, which she has the right because she is human and she is American. You criticize, disrespect, degrade, and gossip about other human beings on a Daily bases, so now that she has made reference to the Gays and (not even in a negative light really) it obviously has struck a cord with you and offended you. First and foremost we have way more going on as AA than to dwell on the little stuff. If you want to be offended about something be offended about the FACT that our children and families are suffering, that there is still oppression in the 21 st century, that our race is the only race that put only 6% of our money back into our community but 94% of money into other ethnic group hands and that our people only make up 2%of the wealth in America and on average an Asian persons minimum income is 55’000/ year. Be offended that over 70% of our black children are fatherless bc there is a system set up against the black man orchestrated by the ku Klux Klan behind the bench in the court rooms and officers in the street, be offended that our children perform below grade level compared to other ethnic groups, be offended that the prison comprises more than 60% AA men, be offended that this system even have you believing it ok for a strong, black king to walk around in heels and thrust their hips around you are enslaved and are under attack and don’t even know it.

I have read what Fantasia said several times and being in the lifestyle I am not offended. Not because of her grammar errors and not because of her personal mistakes. I’m not offended because what I got from it was, people are so quick to call her (Fantasia) this adulterous heathen, not knowing what fully went on with her and this man but are quick to throw the bible at her when there are other things going on in the entertainment industry, government, and the world. On a serious note, I think Tasia meant exactly what she said, and said exactly what she meant. For those who think people “misunderstood her”, read her quote over again. It’s very clear. She was basically saying, ya got weed that’s legal, ‘gay marriage’ that’s legal (in some states) and these are things that “the bible says” are wrong, but you got the nerve to “JUDGE” ME! So-called “Christians” (especially in the bible thumping GOP “Christian Right” for example), are always picking and choosing those so-called “sins”, that they are OK with, and the ones that’s they’re not OK with. It’s a real an ancient issue of hypocrisy. If you’re gonna talk about “sins”, make them all equally the same then, don’t pick and choose just the ones you don’t like. And stop speaking for “Jesus”. This is not only aimed at Fantasia either, this goes for all. And yes, her PR people are trying hard to clean it up for album sales sake.

Fantasia wasn’t bashing, nor did she say anything that wasn’t the truth. Gay folk kill me. They want their lifestyle to be accepted by everyone and who ever disagrees, they want to stone you. Homosexuality in the eyes of God is WRONG. Fanny stated that there are many sins in the bible that is widely accepted, but yet people continue to hound and bash her like she committed the ultimate sin of all sins. Dineva you really shouldn’t talk about someone’s appearance.
Sleeping with married men and having children out of wedlock is also wrong. Holy rollers need to stop picking and choosing what parts of the Bible they want to follow if they want to pick it up and throw its words at other people.

Why is it that when someone says something truthful about gay people they become offended. Its obvious that the gay community has a major problem with their own sexuality since they get all bent out of shape when someone comments about their lifestyle. She said nothing wrong or hateful so get a grip and leave her alone. God does not condone homosexuality and if you so call gay christains would pick a Bible you would see that.
