Tamar Braxton Performs LOVE AND WAR On Good Morning America

Posted in music, reality tv

Just like a true artist, Tamar Braxton is doing a nation wide promo sweep with her hit single Love and War. Earlier this morning, Tamar performed live on Good Morning America. I am definitely glad to see that her music career is blowing up and that mama is getting her shine, however, I wouldn’t be Funky Dineva if I didn’t keep it real. This performance didn’t have the same majic as her debut performance on the Wendy Williams show. You cheek it out and you be the judge.

This go around, Tamar sang while sitting down. I am not sure if this was her teams answer to the slight nervousness that Tamar’s body language exemplified on her Wendy Williams performance. This song is too powerful for you to be sitting down hunty!

I definitely love the song and is starting to grow fonder of Tamar. All in All, regardless of my minor observations this still was a good performance. The beautiful thing is, when you can actually sing, all the other stuff is just extra.

  1. This song has been circulating for a few weeks now. The 1st night it debuted I couldn’t get into it. Maybe because i’m not really a Tamar fan. Today I decided to give it another chance. It sounds better to me. Maybe even I like it a little. But this performance was below average. The only thing she gave of was voice. Chile she must have the same punk thats doing Ms. Joseline or something, because her look never comes together. Secondly, even though she has been in the industry and has had some past albums, she is NOW a new artist. I don’t care who ya husband is, who ya family is, who you think you are, get ya ass up. She should have been standing her ass up, wiggling it across the stage, and trying to become permanent image in the audiences head. Lastly, I am happy she did it right. Her and Vince just wrapped the 1st season of there show and she immediately has so music for us the listen to. Unlike them other reality show girls who I was looking forward to hearing something from in the mainstream music world. Also, pregnant or not she still should be standing up as she performs; hell, Beyonce made dance videos, a movie, numerous major concerts, and television performance in her 1st and 2nd trimester……..ijs!!!!

  2. Vince really knows his stuff – this song and even how she is presenting herself as she promotes her song shows that he is putting her out there in a way that will give her longevity and not just be a one hit reality wonder. I am not a huge Tamar fan – but I have got to give it to her – this song is hot!

  3. I liked this version better Dineva Doll, and the song is growing on me. I don’t think Tamar’s voice has that ‘IT’ factor though. It’s something off key with the vocals, and before y’all go HAM I know it’s hard to sing sitting down that’s best left to those who REALLY BLOW like Nita Baker used too! I’m glad for Miss Thang now maybe she can turn that over the top BS down a 1000!! She is annoying (nails on a chalkboard chile).

  4. This was definitely her best performance of this song to date. She changed it up slightly. She definitely looks less nervous, and you don’t hear shakiness in her voice anymore. She look much more confidence and is exuding stardom. I loved her vocals on Wendy but hated her performance because it looked soooo friggin mechanical

  5. I love these live, intimate performances from Tamar. It takes me back to how R&B used to be performed. Two thumbs up. We’re rooting for you!

  6. I think she did a little better Dineva! When she first performed the song on her showcase she sat down and blew! But it takes away of some of life from the song when she sits down!
